District Digital Enabler

Vacancy: District Digital Development Enabler
Chester & Stoke-on-Trent Methodist District

The Chester & Stoke-on-Trent Methodist District has always prioritised mission.

Within the District there are many churches and mission expressions, some relatively new, some mature and some with roots going back to the Primitive Methodist revival.  In a digital age many churches and mission expressions are struggling to be effective online and need help to expand their digital presence.

Do you have the skills to enable this aspect of their mission to grow and develop; to lead work and develop networks with leaders and digital activists and practitioners in District, Circuit and local churches?  You will need:

  • a good understanding of digital and online environments, and likely future developments, together with an ability to set up secure systems and tools in a church context;
  • good communication skills, including the ability to share and develop collaboratively approaches that grow a digital presence both for today and the future;
  • an understanding of mission;
  • to be a current and active member of a Christian Church or Community which is in sympathy with the theology of the Methodist Church.
