It won't be with 47 sparkling trees in the church and the food, music, slide shows, model railway, all the fair trade and craft stalls but Christmas will still be celebrated in a special way in Cheshire South Circuit.
Sadly due to the Corona virus outbreak it is impossible for crowds to be pouring into the church this year however the team at Wesley Place, Alsager, still wanted to help to bring joy to the town in this difficult time and so are going to hold a"Virtual Christmas Tree Festival".
Sponsors are being asked to decorate their own tree and e mail several photographs to the church to assemble into a slide show. The pictures will show the sponsors organisation name as well as the decorations so that it would provide the usual good publicity. The slide show will then be available for all to see on the church web site, www.wesley-place.org.uk and Facebook page.
The Memory tree has been a poignant place to go to place a prayer or memory for so many people. To fill this need there will be a space on the web site to leave details. These will be incorporated into a virtual Memory Book for all to see. Those wanting to give a donation may do so on a special 'Just Giving' page in aid of N.H.S. Charities Together. The foyer of the church will have a screen with pictures of past festivals and this year's contributions, and a special display.
So if you want to get in the Christmas spirit pay a visit to Wesley Place, Alsager, or visit their website. The town also has one of the largest light displays in Cheshire.
